Monaghan United held FAI Ford Cup holders Sligo Rovers to a scoreless draw at the Showgrounds in their fourth round clash.
Both teams had players sent off in the second half – Sligo keeper Brendan Clarke and United midfield player Keith Quinn – in a hard-fought encounter.
The sides will meet again in the replay – their fourth cup clash in 13 months – at Gortakeegan on Wednesday night (8pm)
